Goodbye Freebie

Yesterday evening my doggy Freebie passed away. She was such a good dog, very reserved, yet loving. She was always very protective of me and my family, willing to take the leg off of anyone who seemed to be hurting us. Our youth minister, a long time ago, lost his key and decided to come in through the kitchen window. . . BIG mistake! But once Freebie knew your smell, or the sound of your car, she was all wags and smiles. It will be hard not having her around anymore, the snow in the back yard is still trampled down where she would run to the back fence and bark at the squirrels, and I found her collar in the van. But she had a happy life. She got to go to the camp, to Kansas, and to a cabin. . .she even got to pull me and my sisters in a sled. I'll miss her, but she was happy.

Silent Night

So it's officially the Christmas season, I went to my first party of the year! GASP* oh the thrills. It was really fun and festive to see the wrapping paper fly through the air with such elegance, and the FOOD, oh the food. . .Well amidst all the festivities it's hard to keep track and really think about what Christmas really means. Really, it's such an amazing thing! Our Lord, the Saviour of our life, was born. We need to remember what Christmas means to us as Christians, and reflect on what an awesome gift we received on that
silent night.
